Case study: how Bespoke educated companies on customer experience at a luxurious restaurant
Sitecore is a global agency best known for its content management system.
However, the business is increasingly trying to sell its larger customer experience platform. This is software that can personalise websites in relation to the devices people use when they visit, the location they are from and even the company they work for. They needed Mumbrella to position them as industry experts and help generate new leads.
Mumbrella’s insight
Mumbrella is the most popular news site for Australia’s media and marketing industry by a huge margin. We’re currently averaging 850k monthly page views and 14k daily browsers – three times higher than our nearest audited rival.
What we did
We held an intimate breakfast for 20 potential clients at the two-hatted restaurant Aria, which boasts stunning views of Sydney Harbour. Emceed by Mumbrella, we invited marketing consultant Tim Lovitt to join a representative from Sitecore to talk about customer experience, and then followed this up with a question-and-answer session.
Initially, Sitecore provided us with a list of pre-selected prospects to invite via a personalised Mumbrella email. We then chased unresponsive guests via follow-up messages and calls. Afterwards, we used our database and contacts book to fill the remaining seats with relevant senior marketers.
Mumbrella handled every aspect of the breakfast itself, including booking the venue and designing the seating placeholders.
Afterwards, we turned the presentation into a written feature that appeared on the Mumbrella homepage, newsletter and was given a social boost on Facebook and LinkedIn.
How it performed
The event attracted 21 guests including heads of marketing, CMOs and global digital managers. Meanwhile, the follow-up feature was shared 158 times across Facebook and LinkedIn and received more than 800 views.
