Cathie McGinn moves into Mindshare strategy role

cathie mcginn mindshareMedia agency Mindshare has appointed former Reading Room principal Cathie McGinn to a strategy role.

The announcement:  

Cathie McGinn joins Mindshare as Director in Strategy (effective immediately)

Cathie was formerly at digital agency Reading Room. Her background is in media planning and production, with specialties including social media, search engine optimisation, film and digital production. She has worked both client and agency-side in a range of verticals and was also the director of a boutique search and social media agency.

She’s a self-confessed geek and cyber-utopian and as one of the founders of Digital Citizens and a founding member of Social Media Club Sydney is passionate about exploring and responding to the way in which the digital revolution is changing our lives and helping digital industry professionals establish best practice.

Cathie McGinn said: “I’m really excited to be able to work in an environment where strategic thinking is integrated across all channels and media, not just digital. Mindshare is one of the most outstanding agencies around, with great clients and amazingly talented people and are, I think, setting a new agenda for the industry”.

Cathie is the fifth new hire to the Strategy team in as many weeks with Lucielle Vardy and Ivars Krutainis joining on Unilever, Lauren Raymond on Kellogg and Shannon Dolan joining the Melbourne team. This brings the resource in Mindshare Strategy to just under 30 people.
