CGU Insurance today announced the appointment of MediaCom as its agency for media planning and buying.

The appointment follows CGU’s decision to re-invest in its brand through a national television campaign in 2014.

It also follows the re-appointment of its creative partner CumminsRoss who delivered a compelling translation of CGU’s brand positioning during a competitive pitch process earlier this year.

Chris Jackson, National Manager, CGU Brand & Corporate Communication was pleased to make this appointment.

“MediaCom’s strategic expertise along with their astute capabilities in planning, buying and digital will enable us to deliver our new brand positioning to customers, partners and our people across multiple platforms.”

Peter Barrie, Managing Director, MediaCom Melbourne, said: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with CGU. We will add value through smart communications planning and implementation to achieve significant results for CGU.”

MediaCom has been a media partner of Insurance Australia Group’s direct insurance brands NRMA, SGIO and SGIC since 2010.
