Eleven to air branded web series Plonk

Comedy web series Plonk is set to gain a new audience as it premiers on Network Ten’s digital channel Eleven next week and on Qantas’ in-flight entertainment service.

The five part satirical wine show which is branded content for Destination NSW launched on YouTube last month and will be edited into three 30 minute episodes to air on TV from next Tuesday.

Qantas has also added the series to its in-flight entertainment services on domestic screens, with the airline set to showcase one episode each month until July.

The series will then be available on Qantas flights from April to July on both its domestic and international video on demand service.

Plonk executive producer Glen Condie said: “We’re thrilled to announce that the show will now run on Network Ten and Qantas In-flight. It’s exiting that so many people will now have an opportunity to see Plonk across a range of multi-platform delivery methods.

“The feedback we are getting about Plonk from media and audiences alike has been hugely encouraging and we’re currently negotiating further distribution opportunities for Plonk, both in Australia and abroad. The future of Plonk looks promising.”

The series, created by Nathan Earl and Glen Condie, follows the trials and tribulations of a TV crew as they endeavour to create an engaging wine show set amongst the wine regions of NSW.

Channel Eleven will premiere the first episode of Plonk at 10pm on March 11.
