Channel Nine’s Space Invaders renewed for season 2

Channel Nine have announced their lifestyle show Space Invaders will be returning to our TV screens for season 2.

The announcement:

What do you do when your crowded house is holding you back from happiness? Call Space Invaders.

Get ready for more battles of the heart and mind after Channel 9 today announced that Space Invaders has been renewed for a second season.

Season one saw our Space Invaders, declutter guru Peter Walsh, renovation queen Cherie Barber and treasure hunter Lucas Callaghan, join forces each week to help desperate families declutter not only their homes but their emotions too. As the transformations continued, much needed space was freed up in their homes and their hearts, and our experts provided tips and tricks to help us all declutter and transform our lives.

9Network Program Director, Hamish Turner, said: “Space Invaders won the hearts of viewers in season one with its real stories and struggles faced by everyday Aussies. Season two takes those stories further and won’t leave you disappointed.”

Peter Walsh said: “I’m thrilled that Space Invaders has been renewed. I’ve been blown away by all the love for the show and can’t wait to help more people in need.”

Lucas Callaghan added: “The trust that the participants of season one had for us was heartwarming. Asking for help is often the hardest thing to do, especially from strangers. But the show enabled us to become a part of their families and memories. They opened their homes and hearts, and such unconditional trust is what made this show.”

Cherie Barber said: “It was such a nice change on this show to be renovating to change people’s lives rather than my normal renovating for profit. Making money from property is one thing, but renovating just for love and family is priceless, and my heart is full to be able to come back and help even more people.”

Season two of Space Invaders promises more exciting journeys to help families discover the pleasures of life beyond the crushing weight of their clutter.

Peter Walsh continued: “Season one was just a warm-up for the amazing families, mountains of clutter, incredible makeovers and stunning treasures that await us in season two.”

Space Invaders is produced for Channel 9 by WTFN.
