CHE Proximity officially AGL Energy’s creative agency of record

Clemenger Group’s CHE Proximity confirmed it has become AGL Energy’s creative agency on the latest episode of Mumbrellacast.

Speaking on Mumbrella’s podcast, Chris Howatson, CHE Proximity’s CEO, said: “We are really delighted with this, we have actually worked with AGL for about five years now on their new energy business – their solar business – and we have the real privilege of being able to work on some bigger projects for them recently and that will expand our scope.”

CEO Chris Howatson (R) announced the news on this week’s Mumbrellacast

“That’s something we are working really hard on right now and we have got some very exciting things that we are working on together,” he added. “Again, that has come from a fundamental understanding of their category and their industry and their business.”

The agency launched its first work for AGL Energy in August with its ‘The Art of the Un-sell’ campaign.

Incumbent agency McCann Melbourne initially won the account in January 2015 from GPY&R.

AGL Energy decline to make a formal comment but confirmed the news to Mumbrella.
