CHE Proximity officially AGL Energy’s creative agency of record
Clemenger Group’s CHE Proximity confirmed it has become AGL Energy’s creative agency on the latest episode of Mumbrellacast.
Speaking on Mumbrella’s podcast, Chris Howatson, CHE Proximity’s CEO, said: “We are really delighted with this, we have actually worked with AGL for about five years now on their new energy business – their solar business – and we have the real privilege of being able to work on some bigger projects for them recently and that will expand our scope.”
“That’s something we are working really hard on right now and we have got some very exciting things that we are working on together,” he added. “Again, that has come from a fundamental understanding of their category and their industry and their business.”
Incumbent agency McCann Melbourne initially won the account in January 2015 from GPY&R.
AGL Energy decline to make a formal comment but confirmed the news to Mumbrella.
Listen to Howatson confirm the news at 59:00:
these guys are streets ahead of the competition and a model for how agencies should act and behave. I’d guess they’re already the biggest agency in Australia as well as being the most awarded and they’re only going to improve from here
