Chopard names EVH as experience and PR agency for ANZ

EVH will now serve as the experience and PR agency for Chopard, in the ANZ market.

The announcement:

Founded in 1860 and owned by the Scheufele family since 1963, Chopard has become synonymous with creativity and cutting-edge technology in the luxury Swiss watch and jewellery industry, marking a fusion of tradition and innovation.

Since 1998, Chopard, alongside Caroline Scheufele, the company’s artistic director and co-president, has been instrumental in shaping the Cannes Film Festival into the magnificent spectacle it is today. Over the past 26 years, the Swiss jeweller has been behind crafting the prestigious Palme d’Or, the festival’s highest honour. Amidst the dazzling celebrations, one event particularly shines—the Trophée Chopard, inaugurated in 2001, marking yet another highlight of Chopard’s enduring legacy at Cannes. Just this week, Chopard’s annual Trophée Chopard was awarded to Australia’s own, actress Sophie Wilde, and actor Mike Faist.

Chopard also held its traditional Cannes grand soirée in the magical setting of Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, chosen by Caroline Scheufele to present her High Jewellery creations from their annual Red Carpet Collection and her second Couture collection. First presented at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, the couture collections are designed to bring fashion, watches, and luxury jewellery to life in perfect harmony.

The independent family business’ commitment to sustainability is equally impressive. The introduction of Lucent Steel, with a recycling rate of 80% by the end of 2023 and a minimum of 90% by 2025, sets new standards for eco-friendly luxury.

Chopard currently has one flagship boutique in Australia on King Street, Sydney, and multiple retail partners across Australia and New Zealand. EVH Agency’s scope of work includes communications strategy and planning, media management, talent, partnerships, events, and experiences.

Founder and managing director, Emma van Haandel says “EVH was fortunate to work with Chopard on a project basis in 2023. My expert team collaborated closely with Ruggero Pirrotta, general manager Australasia, and the team in Geneva to execute a spectacular high-jewellery gala at Sydney’s State Theatre. We welcomed Chopard’s Caroline-Marie Scheufele to the market for the first time to launch the limited edition collaboration with Indigenous artist Shal on the brand’s iconic Alpine Eagle collection.”

EVH’s client portfolio includes Aesop, Bang & Olufsen, Haydenshapes, Hublot, Moët Hennessy, RIMOWA, SIR, Waterford and Zegna.
