Clemenger Sydney promotes Emily Perrett to managing director
Clemenger Sydney’s head of account management, Emily Perrett has been promoted to managing director.
Announcing the appointment, CEO Andy Pontin said that Perrett represented the new generation of digital natives now making their mark on the industry.
“Emily is simply an outstanding advertising person. She’s super smart, passionate about the work, is loved by her clients, and is great fun to be around,” Pontin said.
Perrett is the first woman to be appointed to the role in the agency’s 70 year history.
Rob Morgan, executive chairman of Clemenger Group, said the appointment was an important one for the agency.
“Emily represents the new wave of advertising executives,” Morgan said.
“She’s a digital native, she gets the importance of big ideas in all channels and formats and knows what it takes to succeed in this business” said Morgan. “Emily is another great example of our ‘promote from within’ ethos and she joins the rapidly growing list of senior female executives at Clemenger.”
Perrett joined the agency in 2010 having worked previously at Host and Chi & Partners.
