Comedians, authors and podcasting experts join the Mumbrella360 line up

Four new sessions have been confirmed for Mumbrella360, featuring the likes of author Michael Fidler and comedian Marty Wilson, as well as exclusive podcast research and social media learnings.

In a session titled ‘More Funny, More Money: The Proven System for Greater Success’, award-winning comedian and TEDx speaker, Marty Wilson, will share tips and tricks for ‘funnying up’ business.

Wilson will talk delegates through how to improve speeches, presentations and sales pitches while using ‘risk free’ humour. He will share how to increase your ability to influence peers, help you land that dream job, and make you a more charismatic leader.

Plus, he will lift the lid on secret techniques used by stand-ups to craft funny stories, get any audience applauding, and recover when a joke falls flat.

Also joining the line-up is Deadset Studios’ director Kellie Riordan, and Insightfully founder and managing director Leanne White.

The duo will talk all things podcasting – as more Australians are turning to them than ever before.

With over four million podcasts to choose from, the fight for attention has ramped up. Deadset Studios partnered with market research business Insightfully to conduct original research on the consumption habits, preferences and profiles of podcast listeners nationally.

Riordan and White will unveil these exclusive findings for the first time at Mumbrella360, in an unique session for marketers and content creators to understand the market and how to integrate key brand messages into audio storytelling to create lasting impact.

In another confirmed session, author of ‘Spin’, Michael Fidler, will talk delegates through the ideation and creation of the book. ‘Spin’ is the story of a frustrated young marketing executive that throws his moral compass out the window to climb the corporate ladder.

He will talk about the creative mindset, reframing the negative to a positive, and the story behind what Joe Hildebrand calls “a rollicking read”.

Also confirmed is a session called ‘Social Reimagined: Unlocking the True (and New) Potential of Social Media’. It will see Connecting Plots’ integrated strategy and planning partner Tim Collier explore the challenges and opportunities for clients to unlock the true potential of social media today, and beyond.

He will look at how platforms have shifted to create specific roles for brands, what they are telling us to do, and what we need to listen to. Collier will demonstrate the need to understand scale in social media, illustrate how to convert activity into business-related metrics, and show delegates how to start developing a plan that will ultimately turn social into a significantly more efficient business driver.

Mumbrella360 will take place on July 18-20,
