Cricket Australia head of digital Mandi McPherson moves to Coles

Cricket Australia’s digital chief Mandi McPherson is leaving the organisation to join the digital marketing team at Coles.

McPherson took on the role as head of digital more than three years ago, after a four-year stint as the Melbourne-based sporting body’s marketing manager – a role now filled by Julian Dunne.

Her move comes two months after the arrival of Ben Amarfio, the former general manager of radio network Southern Cross Austereo’s Melbourne operation, as Cricket Australia’s head of marketing.

Prior to joining Cricket Australia in 2005, McPherson was group manager of consumer marketing at Sensis. Her previous roles include director of US operations at Australian software company Memetrics. Before that, she was ministerial advisor to the Office of the Treasurer in Victoria.

Amarfio advised Mumbrella that Cricket Australia would now look at restructuring his marketing team after McPherson’s exit.

Cricket Australia’s agency partners include GPY&R Melbourne and the recently appointed Pulse Communications, which is working on the coming season of the Big Bash League.
