Retail marketing company Crossmark has hired Andy Kirk as the new CEO for Australia and New Zealand after former CEO Kevin Moore was made chairman of Crossmark Asia Pacific Holdings.

The announcement:

CROSSMARK today announced the appointment of Andy Kirk to the role of Chief Executive Officer for Australia and New Zealand.

This follows the announcement last month that incumbent CEO Kevin Moore has become Chairman of CROSSMARK Asia Pacific Holdings to focus on the company’s key acquisitions and partnerships strategy throughout the region.

Kirk joined CROSSMARK in April 2007 to head up a specialist subsidiary delivering high volume merchandising to clients in the grocery, home entertainment and consumer electronics sectors. He successfully built and led the subsidiary through a period of profitable growth, until it was consolidated into the main CROSSMARK business.

Kirk was then appointed to the newly-created role of CROSSMARK’s Director Field Operations in March 2011, to improve productivity and quality for clients while reducing costs and gaining efficiencies throughout the company’s field operations. Kirk successfully restructured CROSSMARK’s in-field coverage and was appointed a member of CROSSMARK’s executive team in 2011.

Prior to CROSSMARK, Andy held leadership roles in the UK delivering retail strategy and field marketing initiatives for blue chip brands across the organised grocery channel.

CROSSMARK Sales Agency President Todd Mitchell said: “Andy’s experience and achievements in his previous roles in CROSSMARK equip him ideally to continue to lead our profitable growth in the region, based upon excellent service delivery for our clients.”

Kirk will work closely with Polly Yule, Managing Director of CROSSMARK Australia, and Grant Leach, Managing Director of CROSSMARK New Zealand, to continue to build strong client relationships and deliver strategic and tactical retail marketing solutions across ANZ.

“I am really excited to lead the team at CROSSMARK and continue to build on the success of Kevin Moore, who has grown the business to more than 3,000 associates across Australia and New Zealand,” Kirk said.

“I look forward to working closely with Kevin, Polly and Grant to develop a plan for further growth.”

Kirk’s role as CEO becomes effective from 1st October, 2013.
