D&AD delivering for Australian agencies as Leo Burnett and M&C win for multiple clients

Australia with 11 Pencils at D&AD

Australian agencies have managed to grab 11 coveted D&AD Pencils at the Awards Festival so far, with M&C Saatchi and Leo Burnett putting in strong performances with a range of work.

Leo Burnett landed three pencils for different clients, with awards for the Melbourne agency for SPC for #MyFamilyCan, in use of social media on mobile,  and Sydney winning in mobile for Samsung’s Celebrity Tantrum and Diageo’s Cheers to a Legend in integrated mobile.

M&C Saatchi Sydney’s successful run with its Optus Clever Buoy campaign has been named a winner in service innovation, while Game of Balls has also won for creative use of media.

The agency’s Melbourne office picked up M&C Australia’s third pencil with Two Litre Towel for Australian Weaving in verbal identity.

DDB’s #ComeOnIn for the Sydney Opera House and the Melbourne agency’s Unconventional Oven for Kidsafe were awarded Pencils, whle GPY&R in Brisbane has won two for its work with Melanoma Patients Australia with two pencils in mobile social.

Sydney agency Joy’s work for Domestic Violence NSW has also won for writing for design.
