David Lock joins Cannings Purple as special counsel

Communications consultancy, Cannings Purple, has hired agribusiness specialist David Lock as special counsel.

Most recently, Lock was the CEO and managing director of seafood distribution company, Mareterram Limited. He will bring his experience in the sector to Cannings Purple, in order to advise clients operating in agribusiness.

Lock is currently the chairman of primary producer Odeum Produce and Sea Harvest Australia and non-executive director of Water Corporation and CBH.

Previously, he was the managing director of Craig Mostyn Group, which has livestock, rendering and seafood processing plants in WA, Victoria and Tasmania.

Cannings Purple managing director, Warrick Hazeldine, said in a statement: “I’m delighted that David has decided to join the Cannings Purple team – he brings decades of experience in a sector that is vital to WA’s economy.

In August, Cannings Purple established a specialist stakeholder engagement team.
