DDB Melbourne announces staff changes
DDB Melbourne has announced a number of staff changes, with Oliver Lynch promoted to managing partner.
The announcement:
DDB today announced a number of internal promotions. The promotions see several long serving staff elevated into senior roles across the business.
Heading the raft of movements is Oliver Lynch, who has been promoted to Managing Partner. The DDB veteran also joins the agency management team after 5 years running major accounts within the agency, including Sensis and Foster’s/Treasury Wine Estates.
The agency has also promoted Gavin MacMillan to the role of Strategic Planning Director. The Melbourne native joined DDB 5 years ago, after returning from a decade in the UK, and has led planning across many of the agency’s key clients during this time. MacMillan has also been appointed to the agency’s management team.
Ben Kidney has been elevated to the role of Digital Business Development Director, a new position created to continue growing the agency’s digital / Tribal DDB offering.
And account management employees Sarah Bailey and Justin Arnold have been promoted to Senior Account Director roles within the business, servicing Telstra and Treasury Wine Estates respectively.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be recognising the contributions of these very strong performers in our business in this way”, said DDB Managing Director Nick Condon. “Each has driven tremendous growth for us and these promotions reflect the strong succession planning we’ve undertaken here at DDB.”
The promotions come as DDB Group Melbourne has been announced as the number 1 agency for staff engagement and satisfaction across the DDB Worldwide Network, based on a recent study undertaken in all the agency’s global offices. The DDB Voice study was developed by leading global expert on business management practices, Dr David Maister and is undertaken by the DDB network every two years.
“People are DDB’s most important asset and we have an absolute commitment to offering our team very strong professional development programs and career opportunities”, says DDB Melbourne Group Managing Director Andrew Little. “I’ve got no doubt that this and our very strong staff engagement levels overall, have been key to our success over the last decade.”
Congratulations to DDB Melbourne for being the number 1 agency in the DDB network for staff engagement, but thats a bit like being the number 1 chef at McDonald’s.
