DDB Sydney appoints ex-M&C Saatchi MP to lead Westpac account

DDB Sydney has appointed a new managing partner to lead its Westpac account.

Vanessa Boueyres joins the agency with two decades of marketing and agency experience, bringing strong skills and solutions to the new role.

Boueyres joins from sustainable furniture company Koskela, where she was head of marketing for just under a year. Prior to that, she held a head of marketing and brand comms role within the Woolworths Group, was managing partner at M&C Saatchi Group AUNZ where she led the Tourism Australia account, and had stints at Sibling Agency in Sydney, and TBWA\Paris. She also spent over 10 years at Young & Rubicam (Y&R) in Europe.

In the new role, Boueyres will lead one of the agency’s largest teams – the Westpac account – with the responsibility of brand strategy, creative and production services.

“The opportunity to work at DDB with Sheryl and the leadership team and on the premier Westpac account was an opportunity too good to pass up,” Boueyres said.

“I’m excited to move back into agencies, where my true passion lies. My career across Europe and Australia has been dedicated to leading change for iconic brands and I can’t wait to bring that experience to DDB and Westpac.”

Sheryl Marjoram, DDB Sydney’s CEO, said she’s thrilled to have Boueyres joining the team.

“She is laser focused on effectiveness, restless in her ambition, deeply passionate about creativity, and fun to be around,” she said.

“Her experience both client side and ours makes her a real asset. Her impact is already being felt and I can’t wait for what’s next.”

Boueyres’ appointment is effective immediately.
