Deakin University tells prospective students to ‘Be Ready’ in new brand campaign

Deakin University has told prospective students to ‘Be Ready’ in a campaign aimed at promoting the university’s practical approach.

Created by independent agency The Royals, the 15 second television spots highlight Deakin’s online courses, science, communication, health and business degrees degrees.

The campaign is set to run on TV, outdoor and social media and features Deakin students and alumni.

The ad aims to demonstrate the confidence students are given through a practical learning approach.

Matt Edge, executive director of marketing at Deakin University, said in a statement: “At a time of rapid change and global uncertainty, universities need to do more than ever to prepare students
for the real world. ‘Be Ready’ communicates Deakin’s commitment to practical hands-on learning, coupled with well-established theory and critical thinking, to arm our students with the skills they need to succeed in a changing world.”

Andrew Siwka, managing partner at The Royals, added: “By featuring current students and alumni in the campaign, we are providing real world examples of how Deakin prepares students for the fast-paced workplaces of the future.

“We believe ‘Be Ready’ is a powerful proposition that will connect with our audience and drive them to learn more about Deakin University’s approach to education.”
