Dentsu heads west with opening of Columbus in Perth
Dentsu performance and experience agency Columbus has opened its doors in Western Australia, driven by the win of the Perth-based Cash Converters account.
The new office will be headed by group business director Stuart Davies who joins the agency from OMD where he was digital director.
The decision to expand west sees Dentsu continue its aggressive approach to the Australian market after the acquisition of Sydney agency With Collective last year.
Columbus CEO Rebecca Tos said the new operation in Perth would work closely with other Dentsu Aegis agencies Carat and Dentsu Mitchell.
“Columbus continues to expand and grow more than double that of our peer set due to the value we consistently deliver for our clients,” Tos said.
“We’re excited to have Stuart embed our brand, culture and delivery for clients in the WA market.”
Dentsu recently picked up the media account for Cash Converters and has also opened offices for Amnet Programmatic and Posterscope Outdoor.
Graham Wilkinson, WA and Vic general manager for Columbus, said Davies brought a string skill set to the new agency.
“Stuart has a strong background in Performance marketing and is perfectly positioned to lead our clients and future growth in what is a very important market for Columbus,” Wilkinson said.
