Dessert Masters and The Cheap Seats lift Ten’s Tuesday
Ten’s new Tuesday night lineup is working wonders for the network, with Dessert Masters and The Cheap Seats both drawing pleasing audience numbers.
Dessert Masters won entertainment, with 451,000 viewers in the five cities, with 348,000 sticking around to watch The Cheap Seats.
Over on Seven, it was the ol’ faithfuls doing the heavy lifting, with The Chase (478,000) and Home and Away (440,000) pulling the crowds, with a 7News Spotlight also puling an impressive 361,000.
The news and A Current Affair (646,000) did the job for Nine, while My Mum Your Dad managed to draw 327,000.
Overall Seven took the night, with 27.4% market share, compared with 26.1% for Nine, 19.5% for Ten, and 16.7% for the ABC.
The TV industry has changed quickly with those numbers being described as pleasing and impressive.
The Chase beat Masterchef. No program, not even news, cracked the 1m mark.
