Doug Chapman honoured at APMA’s promotional marketing awards

doug-chapman mumbrellaDoug Chapman, founder and former president of The Marketing Store was last nigt honoured with a lifetime achievment award at the Australiasian Promotional Marketing Association’s annual Star Awards.

Chapman, co-founder of Social Media Club Sydney and now a director at digital agency Amnesia, told the audience: “It’s been a great ride. I’ve enjoyed every moment of it.”

Meanwhile, the grand prix for the night was won by Wunderman for its Microsoft campaign TenGrandIsBuriedHere.com. The promotion, to launch the Internet Explorer 8 browser, saw consumers challenged to follow clues and be first to find a hidden URL.

The agency that made the most trips to the stage was Apollo Marketing, winning both the young achiever awards, along with three golds.
