Elon Musk’s latest attempt at being funny
What do you get when you mix the world’s richest man and the humour of a 15-year-old?
Logging into Twitter for today’s lurking activities – Dr Mumbo couldn’t help but notice that the platform’s logo was looking slightly different.
The Doge Meme has mysteriously replaced the Twitter logo on the profile and timeline of all users on Twitter Web. pic.twitter.com/ck4udLNDDP

And Dr Mumbo thought we were in the clear from bad jokes for another year!
Speculations were floating around that replacing the blue bird with a doge icon was supposed to be Twitter’s April Fool’s gag. It ended up making a belated appearance because, well, more than half of the company has been made redundant.
Doge for some reason is showing up on Twitter and I can only assume this was supposed to be an April Fools joke that took 3 days to roll out because no one knows how the site works anymore pic.twitter.com/dIlXiOLHoI

However, could Elon Musk be doubling down on his defense in an ongoing US$258 billion racketeering lawsuit, where he was being sued for running a pyramid scheme to support the cryptocurrency Dogecoin?
“There is nothing unlawful about tweeting words of support for, or funny pictures about, a legitimate cryptocurrency that continues to hold a market cap of nearly $10 billion,” the filing from Musk’s lawyer said.
“This court should put a stop to plaintiffs’ fantasy and dismiss the complaint.”
Dr Mumbo would have contacted Twitter for comments, however, its new press policy suggests it is probably not worth it.
