Euro RSCG chief leaves amid group restructure
Euro RSCG chief executive Paul Bennett has left the agency as part of a wider shake up of the Havas-owned group which will see The Furnace move to the same building as its sister agency.
The Furnace chief executive Anthony Gregorio will now take on the new role of group chief executive, which also includes PR agency The Red Agency and employer marketing agency The Face.
In other personnel changes, The Furnace’s head of strategy planning Tony Singleton will become the Sydney agency’s new managing director. Andrew Knox, presently group head at Euro RSCG, has been promoted to general manager of the agency, while Trudi New will move from her role as group head to head of account management and new business.
The restructure of the Australian operations will see The Furnace’s Sydney office move from its Kent Street location, to the same North Sydney building as Euro and the two other Havas agencies.
Cost saving measures will also see the four agencies sharing more resources in areas such as finance, admin and production.
Bennett is the fourth CEO to leave Euro in six years.
Tim, a minor correction. He is actually the fourth to leave in eight years (not six as stated) and one of those “leavings” didn’t really leave, he was promoted and is now Worldwide CEO of our group. Cheers, Tom

Hi Tom,
You’re absolutely correct, thanks for the clarification.
After David Jones was promoted in 2002 he was replaced by Glen Fraser who was there until December 2005. The position was then taken up by Brendan Tansey (now CEO of Wunderman UK) until June 2008. After that Paul Bennett stepped in.
We appreciate your vigilance!
Cheers,
Camille – Mumbrella
That’s Amazing Camille. I’m coming to talk to you if I need to know anything in future! Cheers, Tom

still, a bit of a revolving door, and if both agencies now fit in the North Sydney office they must have shrunk a lot…
