Expedia Group Media Solutions’ London-based senior director for EMEA and APAC, Andrew van der Feitz, will speak at the Mumbrella Travel Marketing Summit.

Van der Feitz will discuss how destinations and travel brands can evolve their marketing strategy to prepare for unforeseen occurrences and help reduce the impact of adverse events – both natural and man-made – through case studies and best practices.

He will also tackle how to minimise the economic consequences destinations and businesses may incur when they are especially vulnerable to misleading perceptions and miscommunication.

Van der Feitz is the second international speaker confirmed for the summit, alongside Hawaiian Airlines’ Avi Mannis, which takes place on March 12 at the Four Seasons in Sydney.

Bayne is the global commercial director for the new 10Travlr business

Also confirmed is Gordy Bayne, global commercial director, 10 Travlr and The Bali Bible

Last month 10 announced it had partnered with Travlr to form 10 Travlr. Travlr was launched by Simon and Lani te Hennepe, who also founded The Bali Bible, and specialises in transactional and scalable digital content and reports a customer network of over 500,000.

Bayne will reveal how the The Bali Bible brand was built from user generated content into a profitable business and how it has grown over the last 10 years.

He will also touch on how brands are tapping into user generated content algorithms and why it is a trusted source of marketing among consumers.

The push to understand the baby boomer market will also continue with YourLifeChoices’ Kaye Fallick returning to present at the Mumbrella Travel Marketing Summit.

This session will reveal exclusive research conducted for the summit which will shed light on a number of different areas within travel habits. From which media outlets are trusted to which booking services are favoured, the value of online reviews, the perceived value of travel agents and much more.

Van der Feitz, Bayne and Fallick join a speaker lineup that already includes SATC’s Brent Hill, Google’s Michelle Allen, Tourism NT’s Tony Quarmby and many more.

The Mumbrella Travel Marketing Summit takes place on March 12 at the Four Seasons in Sydney. Tickets are on sale now at earlybird prices.
