Farmer reunion special tops entertainment as Seven wins Wednesday

The reunion episode of Farmer Wants A Wife aired to 828,000 metro viewers on Wednesday, topping entertainment and helping Seven to a nightly win.

The episode saw the farmers return to reveal whether they have remained with the partners they chose at the end of the full season, and was the #5 program overall across metro markets.

In primetime, The Block brought in 633,000 metro viewers for Nine, while The Bachelor continued to struggle, airing to 414,000 metro viewers for Ten.

Meanwhile, Seven’s Home And Away had 724,000 metro viewers, and The Chase Australia brought in 622,000.

In the key advertising demos, The Block took out 16-39, as Seven News won 18-49 and 25-54. Seven News was also the #1 program overall with 1.178 million metro viewers, while Nine News had 1.081 million.

Seven’s new drama RFDS (Royal Flying Doctor Service) aired to 604,000 metro viewers. Over on the ABC, 532,000 metro viewers watched Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell.

A 31.4% network share was enough to deliver Seven a nightly win, ahead of Nine on 28.2%, Ten with 17% and ABC on 15.9%.

Seven was also the #1 primary channel, while the top-rating multi-channel was 7Mate with a 3.6% share.
