Ford produce Mad Max Interceptors

Ford Australia revealed today two model interpretations of Mad Max’s Interceptors at the Australian International Motor Show.

The Models, designed and constructed in partnership with TopGear Magazine Australia is to celebrate the revival of the Mad Max series.

Mad Max film buffs and motor enthusiasts can see what the famous Interceptor might look like 30 years on. The clay vehicles are refined with lights, high polished paint, slick rims and tinted windows.

Ten thousand fans throughout Europe, India and the United States have voted for their favourite design, with voting continuing throughout July.

However, Encore question the models. As slick as they are, don’t they go against the whole ‘used world’ idea that is the Mad Max universe, where cars are rusted, bombed out and skeletal?

Publicists at Pulsecom could not confirm Ford and TopGear worked with the blessing of Dr George Miller.

Encore has contacted Kennedy Miller Mitchell to confirm or deny if the above vehicles could ever fit into the Fury Road script and are waiting a reply.
