Former ARN presenter and DMG sales manager launch in-store radio service
Former Mix FM presenter Nigel Ross and former DMG Radio sales boss Cameron Milnes have teamed up to launch a new in-store radio venture.
In-Store Broadcast (ISB) is also being headed by retail consultant Paul Williams. The company, which soft launched at the end of last year, provides downloaded commercial music with all music copyright fees and licenses included in its packages.
It has so far signed clients including Kitchenware Plus, Blue Sports Jewellers, JR Duty Free and Sportslab.
Ross said: “The messages are delivered in a live, adlibbed style so they sound like a member of your staff rather than a commercial.”
Ross has nearly 20 years of radio industry experience, including 11 years at ARN in the drive and morning slots on Melbourne’s TTFM, now known as Mix FM.
Meanwhile, Milnes joined Austereo in 1998 and for three years was the direct sales manager with Fox FM.
In 2001, he joined DMG Radio as agency sales manager for Nova100. During his six years with DMG he also worked as the direct sales manager for Nova, and as national research manager and GM for StarFM on the NSW Central Coast.
ISB is a division of Image on Line, the telephone on hold message provider.
If the new company also makes use of Nigel Ross’s experience as a jingle producer, this could be a pretty exciting product for the retailers…
