“I am thrilled to announce the appointment of leading real estate executive, Tom Ainsworth, to Domain as director of residential sales.

“Tom is an outstanding appointment for Domain Group, having worked in real estate media in the US and Australia for more than eight years. He is held in high regard for his in-depth knowledge and understanding of the real estate community and its key players.

“I’m delighted that Tom has decided to return to Australia to join Domain based on the progress we have made in the past three years, the quality of our team, the strength of our strategy and clear growth plans.”

Ainsworth will join the company in a few months.

On Monday, Fairfax Media announced Domain will be listed as a separate entity on the Australian Securities Exchange, after it did not receive a binding offer from TPG Capital or Hellman & Friedman.
