Former WPP HR leader launches people and culture consultancy

After 25 years working in talent development for WPP across London, New York and Sydney, Mandy Kennett has launched independent people and culture consultancy, Tomorrow.

The firm will create strategic roadmaps and solutions for all levels of leadership across companies at any stage of growth, using data and analytics, along with external subject matter experts.

Through her career, Kennett has worked at WPP agencies Mindshare and GroupM, before most recently working at the holding group level for four-and-a-half years a talent development director, then head of people development.

“The advertising and marketing industries are at a real crossroads; they understand the importance of putting people first and growing them for success but struggle to create the space, focus, or accessibility to drive uptake. Too often, we see a one-size-fits-all ‘spray and pray’ approach where learning is positioned as a benefit or a nice to have, and then wonder why participation isn’t great, and there is limited evidence of skill transfer,” said Kennett.

“Having spent my career in leadership roles in the communication industry, I needed to understand consumer behaviour to sell brands. The science of learning is the same; we are all information consumers and need the right experiences to shift our behaviour. With so many conflicting options and media noise around training, I am in a unique position to create solutions, using my experience to engage teams in a meaningful learning experience.”
