Foxtel beefs up data capabilities with former Flybuys head of analytics

News Corp-owned Foxtel has appointed Jane Eastgate as chief data and analytics officer as part of its push to beef up its customer insight capabilities.

Eastgate, who spent 15 years with Wesfarmers’ owned Flybuys, has also been charged with developing Multi Channel Network’s data analytics functions and its Multiview insights platform.

Her appointment came shortly after MCN’s management shake up last year following Ten pulling out of the joint venture and ahead of Foxtel’s and MCN’s sales teams being bought together in the subsequent restructure.

At Flybuys and Coles, Eastgate led the group’s advanced analytics team covering both the loyalty card scheme and the supermarket group’s automation and customer personalisation efforts.

Eastgate said of her appointment: “Joining Foxtel to expand the foundations of its data analytics transformation has been an exciting move as we are bringing about a step-change in Foxtel’s strategic use of data to ensure we’re delivering the best experiences for our customers and outcomes for Foxtel’s business.”
