The Foxtel TV Guide iPhone app has now been released for the iPad.

The announcement:

The FOXTEL TV Guide application is now available on the Apple iPad. The FOXTEL TV Guide application is free from the App Store and lets users search through the FOXTEL TV Guide for program listings, set program Reminders, and Remote Record shows to the FOXTEL iQ set-top-unit.

Since launching in December 2009, the FOXTEL TV Guide for iPhone has generated over 200,000 individual downloads and FOXTEL is now expanding this popular App to iPad, and to other mobile devices.

iPad users can take advantage of the larger touch screen and advanced capabilities of the iPad when downloading the FOXTEL TV Guide App to view FOXTEL’s TV Guide to find out what’s on and when, providing information on FOXTEL’s extensive range of programming up to 14 Days in advance.

FOXTEL iQ and iQ2 subscribers can use the iPad to Remote Record shows[i] when out of the house or away from the office meaning they never have to miss an episode, the latest movie, or an important sports match. Using the iPad, it’s simple to set-up Remote Record so programs are ready to watch on the FOXTEL iQ or iQ2 at home.

FOXTEL’s TV Guide App has expanded to include FOXTEL iSuggest functionality[ii] currently available on iPhone, and now iPad. iSuggest lets subscribers browse through around 200 TV shows and movies across all genres on FOXTEL at that time providing the poster, a summary, and a star rating. Refreshed many times a week, using FOXTEL’s iSuggest it’s simple to discover new shows to love to Remote Record and send to the iQ Planner.

FOXTEL Executive Director of Product & Sales, Patrick Delany said, “The iPhone FOXTEL TV Guide App has been so popular with both FOXTEL subscribers and non-subscribers that we decided to expand the application across multiple devices including the iPad, and for more mobile devices later this year.

“I use my iPad every day and it’s a fantastic device for surfing the web. Now with the free FOXTEL TV Guide App, iPad users can search for their favourite shows on FOXTEL, iSuggest or Free To Air channels, and Remote Record shows and movies straight to their iQ Planner at home anywhere, and at any time.”
