FremantleMedia and NZ’s Imagination form partnership

Production company FremantleMedia Australia has formed a partnership with New Zealand’s Imagination Television. The NZ production company will have exclusivity on FremantleMedia formats while developing original formats for Fremantle.

FremantleMedia Australia (FMA) today announced that it had formed a new partnership with one of New Zealand’s largest and most successful TV production companies, Imagination Television.

Under the agreement, Imagination Television will become the exclusive New Zealand production company for all FremantleMedia formats. In addition, Imagination will work with FremantleMedia Australia to develop new KIWI originated intellectual property for FremantleMedia’s global pipeline.

Imagination Television has an international reputation for producing world-class television. For the last 10 years the company has been producing hundreds of hours of top quality network programming that has been distributed in the UK, Europe and Asia.

Imagination Television is co-owned and managed by Bettina Hollings (Managing Director) and Darryl McEwen (Creative Director).

“The opportunity to partner with one of the world’s truly great production companies is an incredibly exciting development for everyone at Imagination,” Hollings said.

“We’re looking forward to producing a raft of highly successful FremantleMedia formats for the New Zealand market as well as developing and producing New Zealand content for global distribution.

FremantleMedia Director of Global Entertainment Development, Rob Clark, welcomed the new partnership.
