FutureBrand has continued its senior management overhaul hiring former JWT Sydney channel planning director Susie Hunt as chair of its Asia Pacific operations.

The move comes just a month after the agency picked up Richard Curtis as its CEO for Australia from rivals Interbrand, and Graham Purnell as its first executive creative director for the branding agency.

Hunt, who has worked most of her career with WPP including stints at JWT Sydney, London and New York, as well as a role of regional director for Enterprise IG in the region, will have responsibility for offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore.

She will combine the role with responsibilities for her own agency HuntHaggerty which was founded in London and Singapore in 2009, which has clients including Google, Dell, Coca-Cola, Nokia and Cathay Pacific.

Patrick Smith, CEO at FutureBrand, said: “Susie’s wealth of both global and regional experience and her proven capabilities in leadership roles make her the ideal Chairman for us. This position and its particular responsibilities have been created to better deliver FutureBrand’s company vision in the region, raise our profile and build on the success of work for clients such as Fiji Airways, which recently won the Rebrand 100 and Brand Impact awards.”

Hunt said: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to join FutureBrand as Chairman for Asia Pacific. FutureBrand’s strategic point of view on branding and skills are highly relevant to this exciting region and I look forward to working with the team and our clients here for shared success.”

She takes up the role in May.
