The media partners behind Lady Gaga’s exclusive performance at Sydney Town Hall have announced the event will be aired next Friday.

The announcement:

July 21, 2011 –

In one of Australia’s most highly anticipated performances, Lady Gaga proved exactly why she’s the world’s biggest star on Wednesday night. Exploding onto the stage for her GAGA LIVE performance at Sydney Monster Hall, Lady Gaga, her ‘Little Monsters’ and invited guests experienced a truly electrifying and unique event that will be a glittering landmark in Australian music folklore.

This spectacular one off event – ‘Your All-Time Exclusive GAGA LIVE at Sydney Monster Hall’ – was the pinnacle of a monstrous collaboration between MCM Media, Austereo, Universal Music Australia and Vodafone via media agency Ikon for the launch of Vodafone All-Time Prepaid.

The anticipation in the air hit fever pitch as hundreds of Lady Gaga’s fiercest fans from all over the country, lined up to enter Sydney Monster Hall for her only “concert style” performance on this visit, hosted by 2DAY FM and Take 40’s Kyle and Jackie O.

When Gaga made her extravagant entrance the Sydney Monster Hall erupted and the magic began. ‘Mother Monster’ rewarded her loyal devotees with an amazing rendition of “Born This Way” backed by a spectacular team of dancers, her band and a breathtaking live show. Lady Gaga showcased songs from her catalogue of smash hits, including “Just Dance”, “Poker Face”, “Alejandro”, “Bad Romance” and “Edge Of Glory”, with the grand finale, the jaw dropping “Judas”.

After the show, Lady Gaga’s live performance of “Edge Of Glory” and a taste of “You And I” at Sydney Monster Hall plus exclusive video highlights were made available for eager fans on Vodafone Mobiles and online at Take40.com, Today Network websites and Vodafone’s Facebook page. Nearly 25,000 entries were received, from those vying for a pass to the show, in the national GAGA LIVE promotion, run simultaneously through Facebook by Vodafone, MCM Media via Take 40 and the Today Network group of sites.

The full TV program and world exclusive event will premiere on July 29 from 6pm on Nine’s digital channel GO!, on radio across Austereo’s Today Network and Southern Cross Media networks and online at take40.com, followed by Channel [V] at 9pm.

Vodafone and 3 customers will also be able to view the show and content from GAGA LIVE at Sydney Monster Hall directly from their mobiles via Vodafone Central for Vodafone customers and Planet 3 for 3 customers.

John Casey, Vodafone Director of Marketing said: “We always strive to engage our customers in a truly original and creative way. Our sponsorship of GAGA Live presented us with an incredible opportunity to say a big thank you to our customers by giving them exclusive access to the world’s biggest music star, Lady Gaga. As a pioneering multiplatform communications show, GAGA Live incorporated all of Vodafone’s unique abilities to deliver digital, brand entertainment, allowing us to engage our customers in a truly powerful way.”

Simon Joyce, MCM Media’s CEO said: “Wow, what a performance from Gaga. To have the world’s most influential pop star in such an intimate setting has certainly delivered an all time exclusive. Of course all of this was only made possible through a collaborative media approach between Universal Music Australia, Vodafone All Time Pre Paid, Austereo and MCM Media and there is no doubt that this multi media campaign has set a new benchmark for branded entertainment content solutions.”

Austereo Director of Entertainment Content Solutions, Grant Tothill said: “Gaga did not disappoint. She came to Australia to entertain and say thank you to her loyal monsters. To see those monsters express themselves in dressing to become part of the show combined with the sheer brilliance of Gaga really did make it an all time exclusive. Without Universal Music, Vodafone, MCM Media Austereo and a willing artist, Australia would have been denied the Gaga experience”

President Australasia, Universal Music Group, George Ash said: “Oh my god! What a phenomenal show! This entire event was driven by Gaga’s vision to connect with her fans, to do something for her little monsters and to show her love for Australia. Universal and our partners feel proud and honoured to have supported her with this outstanding event”
