Google appoints new head of comms for AUNZ
Google Australia has a new head of communications for Australia and New Zealand.
Katrin Maurer has assumed the role, taking over from Gustaf Brusewitz, who returned to Europe after four years covering the region.
Maurer is responsible for looking after Google’s public relations and the internal and external communications functions for Australia and New Zealand.
She’s been with Google for more than six years and has held a number of communications roles, including Asia Pacific-wide communications for consumer products and Artificial Intelligence, as well as internal communications for Google in Greater China, based in Shanghai.
Prior to Google, Maurer worked as strategy and corporate planning manager for Audi in Beijing, as well as in a number of PR and internal communication roles in China and Germany.
