Gorilla gives appliances the fashion treatment

Sydney agency Gorilla has given Italian appliance brand Ilve the fashion treatment with a play on the world of the fashionista.

The campaign breaking over the weekend invites people to “Join the world of the Ilvenista” with models used to draw attention to the Italian design.

Gorilla has sought to position the brand as the choice of passionate home cooks in the same way that fashionistas live for the fashion they love.

Daniele Bertuccio, marketing manager for Eurolinx which imports the brand, said the campaign aimed to highlight the hand-made qualities of the appliances.

“People form a unique and special relationship with their Ilve cooker that is born out of the occasion of creating meals for the people they love,” Bertuccio said.

“This relationship is forged in the unique quality of working with something that is hand made in Italy and embodies the Italian design aesthetic and spirit for living that we all know and love. To know this, and to experience this, is to become an Ilvenista.”

The campaign will appear in homemaker titles and will also access influencers and drive out through social media.
