Grant Broadcasters appoints 3 new content directors
Grant Broadcasters has announced three content directors joining the company in Darwin, Townsville, and Bundaberg.

Grant Broadcasters commitment to the local community and radio industry as a whole is on show again with three big name signings to the QLD/NT content team. Announced today was the news that Ryan Khay, Keith Fowler and Billy McFerran are joining the company as Content Directors in Darwin, Townsville and Bundaberg.
After a short time out of the radio industry, Ryan Khay returns to the business and the Top End to lead the NT team in Darwin at Hot 100 and Mix 104.9. With loads of award-winning experience Ryan will help to continue the company’s Leaders in Local strategy. Ryan said; “I’m absolutely thrilled to be working with a company that has such a strong focus on live and local Radio and fostering and growing talent. I am also looking forward to throwing off the sub-zero degree Gippsland mornings for the climate that the top end offers this time of year! Ryan starts in Darwin June 24.
With more than 40 years industry experience at home and overseas, Keith Fowler will be taking the reins as Content Director for Star 106.3 and Power FM Townsville. In one of the country’s most competitive regional markets, Keith’s wealth of experience will be second to none. Keith said “I am absolutely looking forward to getting to know the staff and immersing myself in the evolving content for Star 106.3 and Power100 while maintaining and enhancing the fiercely local focus already in place. Roll on July!”. Keith will be in the Townsville building from July 5.
Also starting with the company on July 5 is Billy McFerran. Billy will be joining the Bundaberg team at Hitz 939 and 4BU to take the reins. Having worked in some of the country’s biggest markets and with a proven track record developing talent, Billy is a massive addition to the Grant Broadcasters family. Billy said; It seems like I’m heading back home to the family after having worked with so many people within the Grants team over the years. Hitz and 4BU are absolute leaders here in local radio and I can’t wait to make Bundaberg my home.”
