Gretel Killeen and Naomi Robson set for brief TV returns
Gretel Killeen is to make her first return to TV presenting since her disastrous outing as host of The Logies.
She will next week spend a day sitting in on Seven’s The Morning Show while regular presenter Kylie Gillies is away.
The network has lined up a different female presenter to join co-host Larry Emdur each day next week.
And the show will also be returning another female presenter to the spotlight, with former Today Tonight presenter Naomi Robson also taking to the Martin Place sofa.
The other three guest hosts are swimmer Stephanie Rice, singer Kate Ceberano and Home And Away star Ada Nicodemou.
The run of five female guest hosts follows a similar PR-friendly strategy to earlier this year which saw Emdur replaced by a string of male stars including Ronan Keating, Kenny star Shane Jacobson and singer Kyle Maclachlan.
- (Declaration of interest, Mumbrella editor Tim Burrowes has briefly appeared on the programme a number of times to discuss media and marketing issues. Most recently was today.)
Please banish Gretel to a far away land where her strikingly corny voice/overall composure and mental associations with big brother can’t permiate my world anymore.
Please.
I’m begging you.
I just can’t take it anymore.
