Group business director Ben Epstein departs Clemenger BBDO Melbourne

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne group business director Ben Epstein has exited the business.

Mumbrella understands the decision was related to business changes prior to COVID-19. Clemenger BBDO Melbourne advised Epstein resigned from the role.

Epstein announced his departure on LinkedIn, thanking his colleagues at the agency and former CEO Nick Garrett and creative chairman James McGrath for ‘the most intimidating interview ever’.

Epstein spent three years at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, working with clients QIC GRE, the Transport Accident Commission, BMW and Mini. Previously, Epstein was group business director at Mediacom and client services director at Cummins & Partners.

While the agency advised Epstein’s exit was a resignation, sources have told Mumbrella Epstein was made redundant due to revenue changes in the business. Clemenger BBDO is understood to have had to embark on some staffing changes to manage the impact of COVID-19, as have many other agencies.
