Group M’s Venessa Hunt promoted to chief digital strategy officer

WPP’s media investment arm, Group M, has promoted Venessa Hunt to chief digital strategy officer.

Hunt was previously digital strategy and investment officer, a position she has held for just over a year.

Before taking on that role in December 2018, she served as Group M’s head of digital investment and partnerships, and head of mobile.

“Venessa continues to oversee digital strategy at group level reporting into our chief investment officer Nicola Lewis, and working in close collaboration with our chief technology and transformation officer Cameron King, digital leads across Group M Agencies and our media partners to ensure Group M pushes the boundaries and delivers our clients market-leading digital expertise,” the company’s CEO, Mark Lollback, said.

In total, Hunt has been with the company for more than four years, joining from Yahoo in early 2016.

It’s been a busy week for Group M, with Mumbrella revealing the move of Mondelez’s $40m media account from Mindshare to stablemate Wavemaker, and confirming Mediacom will handle Hasbro’s local account following the toy company’s global agency consolidation.
