Hamish and Andy top Australian Podcast Ranker for third consecutive month
The fifth Australian Podcast Ranker, and second for 2020, has seen podcasting duo Hamish Blake and Andy Lee take the top spot for the third consecutive time and fourth in the ranking’s history.
The Hamish & Andy podcast, which sits in Southern Cross Austereo’s (SCA) Podcast One network, beat out a top five of Sky News – News Bulletin, The Howie Games, Life and Crimes with Andrew Rule, and Kate, Tim and Marty.

News Corp’s The Lighthouse fell four places for sixth, followed by TOFOP’s Wilosophy with Wil Anderson which rose three places. SEN Breakfast, Fox Sports Audio Bulletin and The Parent Brand’s Bedtime Explorers rounded out the top 10.
The biggest mover for the period was News Corp Australia’s In Black and White which is hosted by Herald Sun columnist Jen Kelly. It rose 32 places for 47th.
Jonesy & Amanda’s JAMcast, on Australian Radio Network (ARN), fell the furthest, dropping 58 places for 89th.
The reporting period for the ranker ran from 23 December to 19 January. Due to the holiday period, not all podcasts included in the ranker released new episodes during the measurement period.
A number of new titles made their debut on the list also, including TOFOP’s 2 Guys 1 Cup AFL Podcast, News Corp Australia’s Daily Telegraph News & Politics and Nine Radio’s The Camping & Off Road Show.
I remember the top 10 in the first rankings had something like 7 radio show catch-ups. This time it seems to only be 2. Really interesting shift in a few months.
