In fairness, Hamish (and to a larger degree Ryan Shelton) have been copying Ricky Gervais’s mannerisms and inflections for a while now. The use of the word ‘next’ as a full stop to each ‘joke’ being told is classic Ricky

If memory serves me the Gervais podcasts were animated by fans on youtube. When they saw that they worked they then made the tv show. I don’t think the original guy who made them got anything out of it. So if anything Hamish and Andy’s fan is copying an idea from Ricky Gervais fan. Which is fair enough isn’t it? Next.
Agree… Arj & Poopy are ace; very witty and subversive. I also find myself singing the intro under my breath for an annoyingly long time afterwards.
