Hamish Stewart appointed GHO partner following string of new client work
GHO has appointed Hamish Stewart as its latest equity partner, joining the agency’s leadership team which includes James Legge, Ryan Chao, Eithne McSwiney and founder Peter Hosking.
The appointment comes as GHO has experienced double-digit growth year on year for the past three years, as well as bringing on a range of new clients.
GHO has completed work with new clients over the past year, including strategy, content, campaigns, website and digital transformations for the likes of CommSec, Family Planning NSW, Schroders, Aviation Aerospace Australia, Allianz, and SSI.

L-R: James Legge, Ryan Chao, Eithne McSwiney, Peter Hosking, Hamish Stewart.
Stewart has been with the business since 2019, but will now become part-owner along with the other four equity partners.
The partners believe that direct ownership is essential in delivering a strong, independent creative offering.
McSwiney said: “Businesses face a lot of uncertainty. They need direct relationships with senior people who are focused on the individual needs of their business.
“In our view, equity ownership is critical in ensuring our clients are working with people they can trust and who are committed to their long-term success. We have a vested interest in it.”
In his time in the industry, Stewart has worked at CHE Proximity, R/GA Sydney and M&C Saatchi, also serving as lecturer and judge at AWARD School.
Stewart said: “Dan Wieden says that ‘independence is everything’ and having joined GHO I can see why. The agency’s passion for helping clients turn uncertainty into certainty on their thorniest problems, with a genuinely unique approach, is hugely appealing.
“Eithne and the existing partners have built a fantastic team, and it’s exciting to partner with them on the next phase of the business.”
