Haystac Sydney wins Etsy PR account

Haystac has won the account for online marketplace Etsy.

The announcement:

Haystac Sydney has won the Etsy account, bolstering the agency’s already strong digital credentials and bringing its wealth of consumer experience to support Etsy on its 2013 Christmas campaign.

Haystac will support the much-loved marketplace for buying and selling unique goods with the launch of Etsy’s first ever pop-up store in Sydney, which will open in the lead up to Christmas. Haystac will also help drive press office for the brand, including product placement, and executive and seller profiling.

Haystac, which already counts Google, MYOB, eHarmony and Expedia among its clients, was praised for its knowledge in the digital space.

Jason Chuck, Country Manager, Etsy Australia, said “Haystac’s reputation precedes them. They have done great work in the digital space and, having worked with them before in a role at eHarmony, I have been consistently impressed with their strong strategy and implementation of campaigns that really make a difference to a business’ bottom line.”

“This is an exciting move for our brand and we can’t wait to see the results for Etsy.”

Henning Dorstewitz, acting General Manager of Haystac Sydney said, “Working with Etsy is another step in the right direction for us, we have a team that is well-credentialed in the digital economy and
technology sectors.”

“I hope to continue to build on our expertise with technology clients. The fact that companies like Etsy, eHarmony, MYOB and Google trust us with their PR, and are continuing to expand our remit, is fantastic for the agency.”
