Heineken mixes football with classical music?
Have you ever been forced to sacrifice your own happiness for someone else’s? Even though you secretly want to hurt them for making you do something you really don’t want to?
If you’re a mad football fan imagine not being able to watch your team playing in the UEFA Champions League cause your girlfriend wants you to see a classical music concert with her.
Well Heineken did just that, enlisting 200 accomplices – from girlfriends to university professors – to convince 1,000 AC Milan fans to forgo watching a match against Real Madrid on TV in favour of attending the made up event.
The results? Well, watch for yourself.
That’s brilliant, until the bit in the video where they use bloody ‘Right here, right now’ as the backing track… What year is this, 19 bloody 99?
If I had a dollar for every time I heard that tune during an agency presentation over the past ten years I’d be richer than FayBoySlim.

Brilliant!
As a football fan – I’d still be fuming to miss the game! Hopefully they were placated by FREE Heineken.

This is brillant – so clever, lateral thinking at its best. The follow up publicity also fantastic.
Nice to something different and down right clever!

Is this the award entry video, or the video that they plan on going viral?
Either way, TLDW.
(and yes I realise it has over 300,000 views, but that’s what paid seeding will do)

Fantastic.
Totally channel neutral, taps into core consumer passions & importantly, it’s on brand.
Anyone hating on this in the comments is just jealous. We should be patting each other on the back for work like this, not cutting each other down.
