‘Highly regarded in the industry’: Mindshare hires managing partner for NAB account

Media services agency, Mindshare, has picked up an ex-PHD group business director to serve as its managing partner for a significant account.

Tess Eastcott – who served as group business director for close to three years at PHD – was named as Mindshare’s newest managing partner, tasked with overseeing the agency’s NAB account.

With her appointment, Eastcott is tasked with spearheading the scale and growth of one of the agency’s longest running clients – a relationship that spans more than 10 years after Mindshare was appointed as the bank’s media agency in 2012, and is set to continue with an additional three years.

Eastcott’s role will also see her closely collaborate with GroupM and the Mindshare Melbourne team led by managing director, Christian Solomon, to support NAB with analytics, technology and data.

“I’m looking forward to working with one of Australia’s most recognisable brands in NAB, which continues to do impactful and exciting work in the financial services sector,” Eastcott said when speaking on her appointment.

“It’s also a pleasure to join Maria, Chris, Mark and the Mindshare team whose commitment to driving Good Growth and delivering client transformation has seen them generate real momentum in the industry.”

Solomon weighed in on Eastcott’s hiring, expressing enthusiasm at having the former iProspect Victorian general manager bring her expertise and leadership skills to the agency’s table.

“We’re excited to welcome Tess to the Mindshare team! Her leadership and client expertise are highly regarded in the industry,” Solomon said.

“Our partnership with NAB is one we value immensely, and we’re excited to see how Tess will lead us forward as we continue to evolve and grow together.”

Starting out as a media planner and buyer at Mediacom in the 2000s, Eastcott’s career has seen her complete stints at dentsu X, where she worked as a client leader from August 2019 to September 2020 before becoming national general manager; Carat Australia, where she spent close to seven years from November 2012 to August 2019, filling out business director and client leader roles; and more.

Eastcott is based in Melbourne.
