Hogarth Australia appoints content creative director

WPP’s content agency Hogarth Australia has appointed Barney Howells as content creative director, overseeing Hogarth’s new national creative offering.

Howells was previously head of Sportsbet’s internal production team and was most recently working as a consultant to brands on in-housing creative capability.

Howells will play a key role in enhancing Hogarth’s content capabilities working alongside the newly appointed content team.  Last month Hogarth Australia appointed Emily Harridge as content director and Alan Harca as director and post-production lead, to enhance its in-house content capabilities.

Earlier in the year the agency recruited former M&C Saatchi Sport as managing director Jamie Gilbert-Smith as the national business partnerships director.

Howells starts his new role from mid-January next year.
