Holler’s Mike Hill moves back to creative role

Digital agency Holler’s Mike Hill has moved from CEO to ECD while Claus Stangl has joined as creative lead. The move will see management of the agency fall more fully on relatively newly arrived MD Caitlin Millar-Jack.

The announcement:

Sydney, Australia – 8 November 2010 – Digital agency, Holler Sydney, an IPMG company, is expanding its senior creative team with the appointment of Mike Hill as Executive Creative Director and Claus Stangl as Creative Lead for the company.

With over 12 years of experience in the digital and creative industries, Hill has held the position of CEO of Holler for the last four years and prior to this role was Creative Director for the company. Hill currently works on clients such as Lion Nathan, Bonds and Dove. With the appointment of Caitlin Millar-Jack earlier this year to the role of Managing Director of Holler, Hill will now be focusing his time on leading and building the creative team.

“I guess this is really a move back to my roots. I’ve always been heavily involved in the creative work at Holler, but now that we have new hires such as Caitlin as MD, I will have more time for this creative role. My focus now is on building and inspiring the Holler team,” said Hill.

Claus Stangl is an international hire with experience in both the UK and Australian markets and will support Hill as Creative Lead for Holler. Stangl held roles in the UK at Dare Digital, Geronimo, Clark McKay and Walpole and worked on many successful projects in partnership with his brother for their freelance business, Stangl Brothers. Stangl has worked with brands in the UK such as Vodafone Retail, Sony, Becks and BMW.

More recently Stangl was Senior Creative at Tribal DDB Melbourne working on campaigns for Michelin, Golden Circle, Coles and ANZ. Before his role at Tribal DDB Stangl was Senior Creative at Clemenger working on accounts such as Yellow Pages, NAB and Crown Casino.

Hill said on Stangl’s appointment, “Claus Stangl’s move to Holler demonstrates that we are continuing to attract the best people in the industry! It’s a busy and exciting time at Holler with new business wins such as Bonds and Dove and company growth. Claus’ experience will really add to our teams’ creative and strategic expertise.”
