Home and Away most-watched non-news show as The Biggest Loser wins across demos

Screen Shot 2015-12-02 at 9.47.40 AMTen’s The Biggest Loser was the most-watched show across the key advertising demographics last night while Home and Away was the most-watched non-news show in another quiet evening in TV which saw only Seven News reach the 1m audience mark.

Ten’s The Biggest Loser Families, airing from 7.30pm, pulled in 628,000 metro viewers, up on last week’s audience of 583,000, to hand Ten an audience share of 14.9 per cent.

Earlier in the evening, Seven’s Home and Away, on air from 7pm to 8pm, was watched by 820,000 to be the most-watched non-news program of the evening and the second most-watched show amongst viewers aged 16-39 and 18-49. It helped Seven win the night with an audience share of 18.2 per cent.

Nine’s repeat episode of The Big Bang Theory, which went up against Ten’s The Biggest Loser in the 7.30pm, timeslot, was watched by 645,000 metro viewers, helping Nine to an audience share of 17.1 per cent.

At 8pm, Seven’s Highway Patrol grabbed 619,000 viewers and Nine’s Kalgoorlie Cops was watched by 520,000.

News once again dominated the evening, with Seven News at 6pm the only program of the evening to make it to 1m metro viewers. It dropped away to 984,000 at 6.30pm while Nine News at 6pm grabbed 913,000 metro viewers, growing to 949,000 at 6.30pm.

On the ABC, 7.30 was watched by 737,000 metro viewers, Catalyst (8pm) pulled in 644,000 and Restoration Man (8.30pm) had an audience of 498,000.

In pay-TV The Great Australian Bake Off continued to lead the way on Tuesdays with 126,000 national viewers tuning into the show on Lifestyle Food on Foxtel.
