Virgin Mobile ad invites customers into the club
Virgin Mobile’s first TV ad for its new “Members Welcome” brand platform will go on air from this Sunday.
Created by Sydney agency Host, the ad is part of Virgin’s push to make its customers feel like members of a club, including discounts to music events and phone credit when they fly on the Virgin Blue network. Last week’s rebadging of the Virgin Mobile Metro is part of the same process.
The ad will also feature in cinemas and on Virgin Blue’s in-flight channel from December.

So they’re promoting services and freebies, most of which we already had?
And they’re moving the remaining customer service people’s jobs to the Phillipines?
Talking up all the freebies to hide the fact that there’s nothing “Virgin” about the company except some good plans? its just a mini optus with different marketing.

“nothing Virgin about the company except some good plans”, uh yeah, aren’t ‘good plans’ the point VC? The only real thing about Santa Claus was the presents, remember when you stopped believing in Santa, VC, the presents stopped too.

I am not very impressed by Virgin… Read my story: http://love-branding.blogspot......ma-no.html

Anika,
The whole point of Virgin companies is to “challenge the big companies” and offer better service, better prices, and an all round better customer experience.
Ask anyone that was a client 5 years ago what the customer service was like compared to now.
Are you saying that because I stopped believing in Virgin thats why the service turned to crap? because I’m pretty sure its actually because optus bought out Bransons share, moved basic customer service functionality over to the phillipines (not sales or collections) and is now close to announcing that the remaining customer service functions are going htere too?
