House Rules beats The Voice while 24 fails to fire again
Seven’s House Rules has beaten Nine’s The Voice for the first time since the reality renovation show launched this year, helping Seven beat its rival in the overall ratings for Monday night.
House Rules scored 1.658 million viewers to The Voice’s 1.586 million and won all the capital cities in the 7.30pm time slot with the exception of Sydney where The Voice remains strong, according to OzTam’s overnight metro ratings.
Seven won the night with an overall audience share of 25.5 per cent to Nine’s 24.4 per cent.
Ten dropped behind the ABC in the night’s overall share with just 9.3 per cent to 12.7 per cent, down from Sunday night’s 14.8 per cent share for the ailing network.
Why the sudden jump in House Rules?
The Voice has been losing a few ratings timeslots, more so than previous years. It is probably in its last season. The talent this year has been very average. They’re suffering the same problem Australian Idol did after the third season – the barrel was starting to be scraped and the judges were making some questionable decisions.
