Howorth Communications recruits Brian Corrigan as director of content

Brian Corrigan, former business and technology journalist with The Australian Financial Review, has joined Howorth Communications in the newly created role of director of content.

Corrigan joins Howorth – Ogilvy PR’s specialist technology business to business agency – from Spectrum Group, where he worked as content director for the past three years.

Prior to Spectrum Group, Corrigan was a senior technology reporter for the AFR as well as the editor of MIS a monthly magazine for senior technology executives.,

In his new role, Corrigan will be responsible for leading the content team across all Howorth’s clients and collaborate with other Ogilvy PR businesses.

Alongside other content specialists on his team, Corrigan will provide services such as strategy, content production, social and PR distribution and measurement.

Graham White, Howorth’s managing director said the new hire formed a key part of plans to deepen the agency’s storytelling capabilities.

“Public relations has always been at the centre of storytelling, so strengthening our team with people like Brian improves our strategic and delivery capabilities and gives more value to our clients,” White said.

“Brian has exceptional content development and production experience. He’ll work with clients at a strategic level to determine what the narrative will be, how that story is told and where it will be published. It’s the combination of these skills that makes Brian the specialist he is.”

Commenting on his appointment, Corrigan said: “I’m looking forward to working with the Howorth and Ogilvy PR teams to provide great integrated work for our clients. Howorth has already invested in creating a specialist content team that’s doing some outstanding work, so we have a strong foundation in place.”
